Northwest is 0-10 against Valley since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Northwest Mohawks will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Indians at 7:00 p.m.
After a string of five wins, Northwest's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Webster. While losing is never fun, Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while South Webster is ranked 71st).
Meanwhile, Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Western as Valley made off with a 72-46 win. That looming 72-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Valley yet this season.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Northwest took a serious blow against Valley in their previous meeting back in January, falling 73-40. Can Northwest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
