Winning is just a little bit easier when  you  make six more threes than your opponent, a fact the North Park Wildcats proved  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   46-35  victory over Caprock Academy. This was payback for North Park, who suffered a  69-66  loss the last time these two teams met.
 It was another big night for  Gavin Pittington, who  scored 17 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of North Park's points.  Jace Cornelison was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Ethan Holt, who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tristin Bird, who  scored five points along with two  steals.
 North Park has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Caprock Academy, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-11.
 North Park will head out on the road to  take on  Vail Mountain at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Caprock Academy, they will be playing at home against Telluride at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Telluride is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
