On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Maxwell beat Pine Hill 44-40.
Pine Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Channing James, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. James hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Brett Baker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Maxwell's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Pine Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
