South Gibson extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 20-6 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Bolivar Central Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Bolivar Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. The contest marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

For Bolivar Central's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Lax, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As of now, neither South Gibson nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
