After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wakulla, The Taylor County Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They snuck past Lafayette with a 18-13 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Taylor County also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
Rhyan Hamilton threw for 124 yards and a touchdown. Kingston Williams was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards. On the ground, Deandre Flowers rushed for 43 yards.
Taylor County's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lafayette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Taylor County will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette, they will head out on the road to face off against Trenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trenton and Lafayette are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
