Independence dropped down to 3-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Baxter Springs Lions by a score of 11-10. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

As for Baxter Springs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Baxter Springs' part, Braydon Wade was incredible, going 4-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Brooks Walker was another key player, going 3-for-6 with two runs and one double.

While Independence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
