While losing is never fun, Vista Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while Manor is ranked 84th).
Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas Lyle, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was James Hester, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Vista Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-25 record this season. As for Manor, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-9.
Vista Ridge will take on Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vandegrift will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Vista Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Manor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Round Rock Westwood at 7:00 p.m. Round Rock Westwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
