Given Shadow Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Dragons are ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shadow Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danica Lindemann, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Aalayah Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Shadow Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for West Point, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Shadow Ridge will be playing at home against the Monsoon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Vista has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 429 points over their last six matches. As for West Point, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
