In what's become a running theme this season, the Centralia Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Linn 53-27. Given Centralia's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Linn is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kiana Hostetler and Vivien Baker certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Hostetler scored 11 points, while Baker scored seven points along with six rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Centralia and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Linn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Centralia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brookfield at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Linn's road trip will continue as they head out to face Blair Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Blair Oaks is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
