The Mogollon Mustangs struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (the Joseph City Wildcats were 29% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Mogollon fell 43-30 to the Wildcats. Mogollon has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Mogollon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Heidi Parry, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Haidyn Franco, who scored 11 points.
It was another big night for Gabrielle Jesmer, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and five assists for Joseph City. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jesmer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Jesmer, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Mogollon's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Joseph City, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Valley Lutheran the next time they take the court. Mogollon will head out to face the Flames at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
