It was a good run, but the Stockbridge Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Union Grove 46-42. While losing is never fun, Stockbridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Union Grove is ranked eighth).
Despite the loss, Stockbridge still got an impressive performance from Carrington Wilson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kahli Ingram, who scored ten points.
Stockbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Union Grove, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Stockbridge on the road again on Monday and play against Hebron Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 15th. Hebron Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Union Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warner Robins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
