The Durand Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Lena-Winslow on the road and fell 57-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Durand has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Durand had strong showings from Ethan Rager, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Nathan Folk, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Rager is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played.
Durand are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6. As for Lena-Winslow, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Durand will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Scales Mound at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Scales Mound knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully Durand likes a good challenge. As for Lena-Winslow, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dakota at 6:45 p.m.
