Leo is 2-7 against Bellmont since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Leo Lions will be playing at home against the Bellmont Braves at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Leo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Last Friday, Leo was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to East Noble.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kayla Adams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Malina Lape was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Bellmont was able to grind out a solid victory over Huntington North on Friday, taking the game 35-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bellmont.
Leo's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Bellmont, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
