McMichael is a perfect 10-0 against Walkertown since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Phoenix will challenge the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. McMichael will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Thursday, McMichael was able to grind out a solid victory over Morehead, taking the game 7-3.
Lindsay Redmon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Betsy Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
McMichael was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 12 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Walkertown never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past North Forsyth 17-0. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by nine runs or more this season.
Rachel Roddy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roddy was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savannah Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Adelaide Stressman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
McMichael pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Walkertown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. McMichael hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Walkertown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
McMichael took their victory against Walkertown in their previous meeting on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
