Eagle Mountain's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bridgeport as they made off with a 19-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulls: they've now won four in a row.
Karah Cardinal made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Cardinal was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Eagle Mountain let Olivia Wilson and Zoe Hawthorne run wild. Wilson went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Hawthorne went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those five RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Soriano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
Eagle Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Castleberry came up short against Decatur on Thursday, falling 21-3.
Janelly Ortiz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Castleberry has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12-1 record this season. As for Eagle Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 17-10-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eagle Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Castleberry struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
