The Hightstown Rams will head out to  face off against the Delran Bears  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hightstown will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Hightstown took a 13-run  loss the last time they faced off against Hopewell Valley Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs  5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Rams have posted  against the Bulldogs since May 5, 2016.

 Andrew Emslie looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 At the plate, Hightstown let  Daniel Krier and  Brian Drews run wild. Krier  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double, while  Drews  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  Drews has  hit this season.  Alex Werden was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Delran not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 25th (when they won  14-0). They put the hurt on West Windsor-Plainsboro North with a sharp  14-2 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bears' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
 Hightstown pushed their record up to 11-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Delran, their record is now 6-4.
