The Workman Lobos can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 67-37 win over Bell at home. This was payback for Workman, who suffered a 51-45 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Aaron Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 12 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Workman's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Contreras, who scored 11 points.
Workman's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Workman will take on Katella at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Katella focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday. As for Bell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Gate at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. South Gate is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
