The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies will challenge the Marist RedHawks at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Park-River Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
Marist will be up against a hot Oak Park-River Forest squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Huskies never let Proviso West get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Monday. Considering the Huskies have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Gabriella Chesney made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Arielle Spurlock looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Back at the plate, Charlie Terry was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Gloria Hronek, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Oak Park-River Forest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They are 17-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after a string of 21 wins, Marist's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Lake Central by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the RedHawks have suffered since May 8, 2024.
Oak Park-River Forest's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Marist, their defeat dropped their record down to 29-2.
