Cartersville is a perfect 7-0 against Allatoona since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. Cartersville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Allatoona likes a good challenge.
Cartersville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cass 56-28. The victory continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Colonels: they've now won seven in a row.

Nate Russell had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 213 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 42 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tyon Coe, who rushed for 73 yards and one TD on only six carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cartersville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Allatoona, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They took down Woodland 49-35 on Friday.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Ethan Corpus and Solomon James. Corpus had a great game and rushed for 327 yards and five scores while picking up 14.9 yards per carry. Meanwhile, James was balling out in the loss, rushing for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 94 receiving yards and one TD.
One reason for the win was Allatoona's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Woodland's side was Jeremiah Coleman, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Cartersville's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Allatoona, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Everything came up roses for Cartersville against Allatoona when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 31-0 win. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
