On Monday, Warwick got the win against Burke Catholic by a conclusive 3-0.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Warwick took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-6.
Warwick's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton Komorsky led the charge by getting five aces and four digs. Madison Havell was another key player, getting 13 digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good server: Warwick was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Cornwall Central beat Minisink Valley 3-1 on Monday.
Cornwall Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 25-9, 28-16.
The victory got Warwick back to even at 3-3. As for Cornwall Central, their win bumped their record up to 14-0.
