If the Tri-County Mustangs were riding high off their 49-27 takedown of the Union Star Trojans last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tri-County took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shamrocks on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tri-County of the 60-49 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Jerry Gilpatrick, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for North Harrison. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gilpatrick has scored at least a third of North Harrison's points. Keygun Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Tri-County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for North Harrison, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Tri-County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Mercer is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for North Harrison, they will face off against the Tigers at 7:08 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Worth County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
