The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane entered their tilt with the Cook Hornets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Fitzgerald simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Cook 58-28 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Fitzgerald, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Fitzgerald to victory were Journy Scott and Ke'yana Campbell. Scott scored 15 points, while Campbell scored 15 points. It was the first time this season that Campbell scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kianti McDuffie, who scored eight points.
Fitzgerald pushed their record up to 14-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Cook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-15.
