Seneca Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mina Hashemzadeh led the charge by scoring 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Addison, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Richard Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Seneca Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Richard Montgomery's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wheaton on January 26th. As for Seneca Valley, they will challenge Magruder at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Magruder will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Seneca Valley is ranked 48th).
