The Walnut Grove Wildcats will square off against the Reedy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Walnut Grove blew past Heritage, posting a 52-20 victory at home. The win was just what Walnut Grove needed coming off of a 54-23 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Reedy entered their tilt with Frisco with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Reedy put the hurt on Frisco with a sharp 65-40 victory on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-14.
Walnut Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Reedy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-10.
Walnut Grove lost to Reedy on the road by a decisive 42-28 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Walnut Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
