Grand Lake waltzed into their game on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Hamilton Christian Warriors with a sharp 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Grand Lake pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Hamilton Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Lake will welcome Northside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
