The Pasco Pirates suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Cypress Creek, falling 59-22. Pasco found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 15 fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, Pasco still got an impressive performance from Zion DeJesus, who scored eight points.
Leading Cypress Creek to victory were Manuel Castro and Jordan Constantine. Castro scored 11 points along with five steals, while Constantine scored 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Constantine has scored all season. Rowan Gayle was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Pasco's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Cypress Creek, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pasco will take on Zephyrhills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Zephyrhills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Pasco likes a good challenge. As for Cypress Creek, they will be playing at home against Tampa Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tampa Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
