La Jolla's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Vaz, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vaz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Diehl, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds.
San Dieguito Academy's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for La Jolla, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
San Dieguito Academy will play host again and welcome Carlsbad, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlsbad has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 582 points over their last eight matchups. As for La Jolla, they will head out on the road to square off against Canyon Hills at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon Hills will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
