The Warren County Screaming Devils posted their biggest win since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Aquinas 63-43. Given Warren County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Aquinas is ranked 547th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Warren County was led to victory by Torossie Leslie and Ra'Quavian Jones. Leslie scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Jones scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Jamarion Darden was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Warren County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5. As for Aquinas, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lake Oconee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Aquinas, they will take on Towns County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
