Southmont escaped with a win against Crawfordsville by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southmont.
Aaron Mcmasters had an outrageously good game as he scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Hayden Hess was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Several Athenians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan McLemore, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. McLemore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Fuller, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Crawfordsville were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Southmont has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
