Given St. Xavier's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Cincinnati College Prep Academy is ranked 425th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Xavier got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Donovan Waleskowski out in front who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. Jacob Wassler was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
St. Xavier has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Cincinnati College Prep Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
