After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland Park, Tyler HEAT were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Bullard by a score of 43-32. Given Tyler HEAT's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Bullard is ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eli Anderson was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Elijah Grimes was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 12 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Tyler HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bullard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Tyler HEAT will square off against Fairfield at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bullard's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pollok Central at 8:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Pollok Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
