If Taconic were riding high off their 46-0 takedown of Commerce/Springfield Renaissance last Thursday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Taconic were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday, as they fell 24-28 to South Hadley. If Taconic were hoping to take revenge for the 20-29 defeat against South Hadley the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Taconic's loss pushes them down to 3-4. The victory was the 5th in a row for South Hadley raised their record to 5-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Taconic will take on Pittsfield at 1:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for South Hadley, they will go up against Chicopee.
