The King Lions posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They blew past Brandon 66-29 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-15.
King had a senior duo take command as Julien Barnett dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds and Jabriel Hakim scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Barnett is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Ian McLargin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
King pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.67 points. As for Brandon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
King and Wharton will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wharton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Brandon, they will take on Strawberry Crest at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
