The Monroe Redhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Forest Hills for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-49 win at home. With Monroe ahead 48-25 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monroe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Allen, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Young, who scored 14 points along with six assists and two steals.
Monroe's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Forest Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Anson at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Anson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. Forest Hills will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Parkwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Parkwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
