The Dyersburg Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Peabody 54-25 at home. The victory was nothing new for Dyersburg as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Dyersburg to victory were Chelby Jordan and Joya Crawford. Jordan scored nine points along with eight rebounds, while Crawford scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Jordan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aerie Quinn, who scored six points.
Dyersburg's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Peabody, they bumped their record down to 4-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dyersburg will square off against Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ripley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Peabody, they will head out on the road to face off against Dresden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
