The Boys Ranch Roughriders will head out on the road to face off against the Guymon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boys Ranch comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Two weeks ago, Boys Ranch was the victim of a tough 34-12 defeat at the hands of Sunray. While losing is never fun, Boys Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1135th, while Sunray is ranked 482nd).
The losing side was boosted by James Sully, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, Guymon were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a 17-0 bruising from Casady. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Guymon couldn't answer the 17 points Casady scored afterwards.
Boys Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Guymon, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
