On Friday Eureka take on Whittell at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.
Eureka might be aching after a bruising 30-54 defeat to Coleville last week. Eureka's loss came about despite a quality game from freshman Clayton Shoda, who rushed for 36 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Whittell had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They got past Mineral County with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 60-56.
Whittell's win lifted them to 1-0 while Eureka's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Whittell can add another positive mark to their record or if Eureka can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Whittell's step.
