After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pickering, Hackberry was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-17 win over the South Cameron Tarpons. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Calli Trahan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and 13 unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
