The West Jefferson Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Soda Springs Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jefferson is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
West Jefferson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Butte County by a score of 71-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Even though Soda Springs has not done well against West Side recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Soda Springs walked away with a 57-44 win over West Side.
West Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Soda Springs, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
West Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Soda Springs when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 70-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Jefferson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
