Football Recap: Choctawhatchee Takes Down Pine Forest in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Choctawhatchee rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They breezed past the Pine Forest Eagles to the tune of 52-0. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Diaris Morales was her usual excellent self, throwing for 242 yards and five touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground. What's more, she racked up 115.3 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Peyton DiBendetto, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Choctawhatchee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Judith England and Tishelle Boweles.

Choctawhatchee's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Pine Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Choctawhatchee has already played their next game, a 21-0 win against Fort Walton Beach on the 16th. Pine Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
