In what's become a running theme this season, the Longmont Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greeley West 57-26 on the road. The victory was just what Longmont needed coming off of a 56-34 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Longmont to victory were Kaila Patterson and Savannah Pohl. Patterson scored 30 points, while Pohl dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Stella Rulon, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Longmont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Greeley West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Longmont will be playing at home against Silver Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greeley West, they will head out on the road to square off against Holy Family at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Family will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
