Oneida has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Alcoa Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oneida will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 44th).
Last Saturday, Oneida came up short against the Bobcats and fell 54-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oneida in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Alcoa scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Gatlinburg-Pittman 81-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alcoa.
Oneida's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Alcoa, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
