Montgomery put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights by a score of 6-3.
Parker Bennett made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Bennett is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Max Furman was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Victor Ottman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Montgomery pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
