Saginaw and Brewer are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Saginaw Rough Riders will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Brewer Bears at 7:00 p.m. Saginaw has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 11.

Things were looking good for Saginaw after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Azle, falling 12-2.

Saginaw saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Brown, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Brown a new career-high. Lilly Hann also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Brewer came up short against Fossil Ridge on Tuesday and fell 10-5.

Kamren Pride stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Even though they lost, Brewer lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they post two or more home runs.

Brewer now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Saginaw, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything went Saginaw's way against Brewer in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Saginaw made off with an 11-3 victory. Does Saginaw have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brewer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
