After only one point in their last match, Oceana made sure to put some points up on the board against Mid-Peninsula on Wednesday. The Oceana Sharks blew past the Mid-Peninsula Dragons 62-36. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Oceana, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Mid-Peninsula, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Oceana will take on Pacific Bay Christian in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oceana's defense has only allowed 27.1 points per game this season, so Pacific Bay Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mid-Peninsula, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mountain View Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
