It was a good run, but the McClintock Chargers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 60-25 defeat at the hands of Desert Pines. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McClintock has scored all season.
Leading Desert Pines to victory were Mya Harper and Trista Mabry. Harper scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Mabry scored 13 points along with eight steals. Mabry hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Wilder, who scored six points along with four steals.
McClintock's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Desert Pines, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
McClintock will be home for the holidays to greet Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.5 points per game. Desert Pines' road trip will continue as they head out to face Columbine at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
