The Buhl Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Kimberly Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Buhl barely beat Filer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.
Remington Higley was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Porter Higley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Kannon Gambrel was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Kimberly came out on top against Gooding on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Senators 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Buhl, Kimberly also got a great game from a two-way player: Jeremiah Bybee. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Bybee was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Kimberly got a big performance out of Ryder Stephenson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cash Gardner, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Kimberly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Kimberly pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Buhl, their record is now 15-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Buhl has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kimberly struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
