Carlsbad entered their tilt with Clovis on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They didn't even let the Wildcats on the board, marking their second-straight  15-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  15-0  on Tuesday.
 Kalion Fuentes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Faith Rivera, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Katrina Ortega, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Carlsbad  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .652. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Carlsbad pushed their record up to 10-6 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clovis,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-15.
