Walkersville extended the longest winning streak in Monocacy Valley - Piedmont this week by beating Oakdale, 49-10. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Frederick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cadets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Hynes has thrown for 1630 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Alex Levine has 40 catches for 626 yards. Jerel English leads the league in rushing with 918 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Frederick takes on the Lions. The Cadets' offense has scored 237 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Walkersville has allowed only 85 on the year.
Frederick's English needs only 82 yards against the Lions next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Monocacy Valley - Piedmont this week will be when Vince Ahearn's team takes on Walkersville. The Cadets are in third place, while the Lions are in first place.
Governor Thomas Johnson made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,614 from 4,181. The advance stemmed from a 24-10 victory over Linganore last week.
