The Byron Center Bulldogs took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past Caledonia 71-38 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Byron Center, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Byron Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Karel out in front who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Heagle, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Byron Center's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Caledonia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byron Center will take on Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caledonia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
